We’re officially 100 days until our Disney Cruise!!! Internal fireworks and a permanent smile is happening at this very moment. I come from a family of four – Mom, Dad, and an older brother. The four of us took a vacation one year to Walt Disney World and then hopped on a cruise ship to the Bahamas. I was just a youngin then and at the time didn’t realize the importance of a family trip. But now that we’re all a bit older and have our own kids, I’m emotional and have a sense of pride to be able to share the same experience with my daughter.
Since we live in Florida now, taking the first part to Walt Disney World has already happened. We jumped on that within the first few months of relocation. I hadn’t been to the Magic Kingdom in years so it was fun but seeing the look and Kool-aid smile on Rhi’s face as we walked down Main Street with Cinderella Castle in front of us was priceless. So I can only imagine the reaction to seeing the Disney Dream.
Disney’s Cruise Line has four ships sailing the great blue seas with plans for three more in 2021, 2022, and 2023. We’re going on the Disney Dream for a 3-Night Bahamian Cruise from Port Canaveral. Day 1 is a day at sea plus all the sail away festivities Disney plans for its cruisers. Day 2 we’ll dock in Nassau, Bahamas and take on the culture. Day 3 we’ll arrive at Disney’s private island, Castaway Cay. The plan is to run the Castaway 5K that morning, but we’ll see how it goes within the next few months of workouts. Then Day 4 we head back to Port Canaveral and I can imagine it will be a sad day. Disney has a way of making you not wanting to leave and go back to reality.
If you haven’t figured out yet, we’re planners. Recently, I converted to the Happy Planner disc system and love it. The sticker books are making planning for this trip and daily activities so much fun. In the past, I was nervous about the pricing of the happy planner line. But thanks to the infamous coupons from Michaels Stores, I finally got to try it. And a few months later, I now have two planners a notebook, and tons of stickers. I think I’m becoming a Planner Babe; and Rhi will be one soon once the 2019 student planners come out.

The Travel value pack stickers have packing lists, countdown days, and tons of colorful artwork. We’re only going to be gone for three nights, but my planners are helping with the excitement towards this adventure.
